Skilled Tradesman

Our ideal candidate will require minimal supervision, will be highly responsible to complete jobs on time, dependable, and have a detail-oriented mindset. He/she will take pride in the work delivered and have a good overall knowledge of all trades—from carpentry, tiling, flooring, and drywalling to light plumbing and electrical. The candidate must also display excellent customer service skills, including solid communication, and the ability to interact in a positive and professional way with a wide variety of different types of clients, vendors, subcontractors, and team members.

Specific qualifications for the role include:

  • Successful track record as a Multi-Skilled Tradesman
  • Moderate to expert tradesman in carpentry, drywall, tiling, minor electrical and plumbing
  • Own standard set of tools to perform all of the above trades.
  • Must have reliable transportation and a valid Driver’s License
  • Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Professional appearance and demeanor

Project Manager

Seeking experienced Project Manager to manage all aspects of Production on given projects

  • Benefits include: vacation and paid holidays, 401(k), health insurance plan, company truck, and performance bonuses.
  • Expected to work Monday-Friday 7am-5pm. While not frequent, Project Manager is expected to be “on-call” and required to respond to any reasonable after-hour customer communication and/or emergencies.

The duties and responsibilities for an AM Kitchen & Bath Project Manager are as follows:

Job set up 2 week prior to job start

  • Refine full material order
  • Confirm long lead time materials have been ordered on the drive (cabinets, tops, special order material, flooring….)
  • Set critical delivery, measure and install dates (material, countertop, shower door measure)
  • Schedule subcontractors
  • Email client with projected start week and confirm client job prep instructions
  • Confirm permits are in progress or completed
  • Install job sign

Job start

  • Meet install team for job start
  • Review and leave job site scope of work on site
  • Pick up payments according to contract
  • Visit job sites daily (never allow more than 48 hrs without job visit)
  • Take progress photos of project and upload to the AMKB Drive
  • Manage job site cleanliness and dust control
  • Manage project efficiencies, quality and problem resolution
  • Create material lists and deliver materials, as needed
  • Jump into production, as needed, to boost schedule
  • Phone call, text or Email client every 24hrs with project and schedule updates.
  • Manage material returns throughout project
  • Schedule and manage subcontractors, materials and installs
  • Track all extra work orders
  • Adjust and refine schedule to reflect actual work being completed
  • Track project expenses and compare with bid throughout project
  • Schedule and perform QCI with client

Weekly Production Meeting

  • Review production with staff
  • Review concerns and problems with production
  • Review long lead time items
  • Receive permit info
  • Receive job specifics

Schedule

  • Maintain weekly manpower schedule on daily basis
  • Adjust main workflow schedule as needed
  • Manage install team vacations

Container/maintenance

  • Oil changes
  • Tires
  • Breaks
  • Fluids
  • Cleanliness
  • Keep container organized
  • Keep track of tools
  • Maintain tools
  • Check company vehicles
